This project is a variation of the Exquisite Corpse game where
multiple participants work together to draw a figure. Originally,
the person drawing would be able to see what the people before them
drew and then choose how to add to it. However, I decided to make the
participants independent of one another, and as a result, they did not see
how the others drew their body parts. The instructions were of a vertical nature
in that I described specific body parts for each person to draw. Nevertheless,
they could do whatever they wanted with the part, for instance, change the color.
Although the participants knew that they were taking part in a project, I didn’t explain
what the project was, or who else was in it, so they didn’t even know
they were working together to create a whole. They were just asked
to draw without any explanation.
After collecting all the body parts from each participant, I assembled them in a
drawing program to create the complete figure.
